Another important role of UMFCCI is acting as a bridge between the State and the private sector. This role is made
possible by the fact that there is a vast network of chambers and associations affiliated to the UMFCCI. Moreover, with the

Commerce and Industry (ASEAN-CCI), the (BIMST-EC),Greater Mekong Subregion Business Forum (GMS-BF), Joint
Economic Quadrangle Committee (JEQC) and it supports and follows the principles of competition, reduction of trade
barriers and facilitation of international trade.

Also, UMFCCI assumed the Presidency of ASEAN-CCI in July 2002 and had taken over the Chairmanshiip of Greater
Mekong Sungegion Business Forum (GMSBF) since October 2003. You are warmly welcome to contact us whenever you
